As a small business owner, I understand how many time-consuming tasks there are to keep my business running. Therefore, I am here as your virtual assistant to help you clear those tasks off of your to-do list so that you can get back to the work you love to do!

What is a Virtual Assistant?
Basically, a virtual assistant (VA) is a private contractor who takes on your tasks and frees up your time. The work given to a VA is often the tedious, time-consuming, boring, and/or difficult work you don’t want to do but is also necessary for your business to function. Therefore, a VA takes on those assignments so that you have the time and freedom to focus on other things.
Get the time freedom you desire in your business.
For instance, a general VA could be tasked to manage your emails and scheduling. So, instead of spending hours organizing your inbox and continuously updating your calendar every week, your VA would be assigned to do those things for you. Or, you could hire a social media VA and they could be responsible for posting your content to your social media pages, replying (as you) to comments and messages on your platforms, etc.
There are many kinds of VAs and tasks you can assign to your VAs. But generally, VAs are given any work that you would assign an assistant to do and work we can do remotely!
Because VAs are private contractors, you don’t hire them to be a part of your company. Instead, you purchase their time in packages and write the purchase off as a business expense. You can either buy their time for a set number of hours per week or receive their help for specific projects or events.

I am a general VA, which means that I have a large range of services I provide. This also means that I am adaptable to your specific needs in your business. I have experience with many VA tasks and can learn quickly if you need my help with tasks I do not have experience with.

Get a professional-looking website with all of the features you desire (limited to WordPress sites).

Volunteer management, booking services and venues, presentation schedules, etc.
Personal Task Management
Booking flights and hotels, making restaurant reservations, reserving your spot at events, etc.
Data Entry
Entering receipts onto spreadsheets, generally updating spreadsheets, etc.

Besides Virtual Assistance, Botanical Revival is also here to provide free herbal education and resources for everyone, especially those in marginalized communities and those who may not otherwise have access to this information. The information I make public here on my website is given to you through a decolonial lens and it is my goal to use this business to build community and facilitate healing.
Hi! I’m Heron, Your Virtual Assistant!
My name is Heron (he/they) and I am the owner of Botanical Revival. I am a queer, trans, autistic, gen z quintessential Taurus. My family comes from the Northeastern United States where much of my family still lives.
I grew up in the woods and on the waters of beautiful Maine and I am very proud of my Acadian heritage. As a kid, my family spent a lot of time hiking, kayaking, camping, and exploring the Maine forests. Today, I’m living the van life, traveling across the United States, continuing to stoke the fire of my adventurous heart.
As I travel, I am also studying to become an herbalist. Herbalism, nutrition, and trauma psychology have been my loves for much of my life and I am now exploring career paths in these fields. And thus, Botanical Revival is here!
I am developing this business with two intentions: 1) to share the knowledge I’m learning in my herbal studies to make herbal education more accessible and 2) to begin making friends and connections in the world of holistic health. The blog and educational aspect of this business is the fruit of the first intention, and the Virtual Assistance aspect is the fruit of the second!
Through my Virtual Assistant services, I am making friends, learning so much from my clients, and providing a valuable service to the people and businesses I’m enthusiastic to support.
Who I Serve as a Virtual Assistant
I work with people and businesses that align with Botanical Revival’s mission as a company. This is a queer and disabled-owned business working to facilitate healing and community building. I believe that everyone deserves to live in communities built to serve their needs. I believe that everyone deserves the ability to heal, create, explore, rest, and play. And Botanical Revival is actively working to decolonize the holistic health fields and provide resources to those in marginalized communities.
The businesses I partner with are aligned with these goals in some way.
Here is a list of the kinds of businesses I offer my virtual assistance services to:
- Small businesses in the holistic health field (herbalists, therapists, nutritionists, etc.)
- Young, queer, trans, BIPOC, and/or disabled-owned businesses
- Community-focused organizations, non-profits, and businesses
- Environmental activists, organizations, and/or businesses
- Organic, small-scale farms
- Artists, crafters, writers, and/or content creators

Virtual Assistance Packages
Botanical Revival offers two packages:
Hourly Package
With this package, you would choose to purchase between 5 and 20 hours of my time per week and would be billed monthly.
Project-Based Package
With the project-based package, you would hire me to help you with a certain project or event. You would give me a down payment to begin the project and then I would bill you for the rest of the hours after the project is done.
